Original painting tawny owl title: ‘Lightkeeper of Atlantis’
Inspiration: As part of a series of spiritual paintings with ascension themes. In the atmosphere of ‘spiritual animals’ or totem animals, the wise owl came to my mind as a guardian of the knowledge of Atlantis. The dolphins are better known for that, but much wisdom is also spread by light language in sounds (intuitive communication). Diana Cooper writes about this in our oracle card deck. Wherever they fly, they spread the higher light with their presence. I like to see owls as messengers: when you meet them in the wild it is always a moment of wonder and always seem to have a special timing to it. In this painting I made a combination of all these elements. The Northern Lights, aurora borealis, shine behind the owl. The activated lit-up symbol is the well-known sign of Atlantis, also a symbol of power.
