INSPIRATION: In Mercantour, a mountainous area in the South of France, I came across a stoat right in front of me for the first time. In broad daylight, we were both startled by this spontaneous encounter. How skillfully such a small animal bounced away between the stones surprised me. This work is an ode to that spontaneous introduction and wonderful journey.
