Summer dawn

‘Summer dawn’, a farm in Drenthe, in the Netherlands, with Poppies

INSPIRATION: The poppies and cornflowers blow in the wind. I am always inspired by rolling fields with a breath of wind. Even though this is a fictional landscape, the idea originated in Drenthe when I was on holiday there. You can almost hear the tractor working in the distance, and smell the warm corn grass. And the crickets. A “warm” pastel.
