Shetlandpony foal incl. frame

Original painting ‘Shetland pony foal’
Inspiration: this foal was so inspiring that I have painted it several times over the years in different poses. This is one of my favorites. The meeting with the young animal was in Hoogland, Amersfoort. The sun broke through and shone on his mane, turning the brown tones into warm orange. There and then I decided to paint the beautiful animal.
