Welcome to the website of dutch artist Marjolein Kruijt. She is specialized in capturing nature and animals on canvas. The collection of paintings presented here shows Marjoleins passion for them. Inspired by the essence of her subjects, she aims to capture their beauty and innocence. Though each painting has an unique story: personal, mystical, funny or symbolic. Most of them are designed during travelling in nature, painting en plein air, combining various natural elements or dream-like impressions while doodling in her sketchbook. Therefor Marjoleins artwork is a direct expression of who she is, searching for more insight in life, beyond plain figuration of natures beauty. After her two art academies she studied animal communication and intuitive development, which enriches her artwork in many ways. Her pet portraits are in great demand in the Netherlands after multiple tv appearances. Marjolein exhibits international and has numerous publications. She has published two successful books on her animal art, one already in 5th print. Anually, a “Marjolein Kruijt nature diary” is published filled with new wildlife art.
